- What is MegaBrain Code Factory?
- AI coding agents for your editor, your terminal and your Mac. An agent plans the work, writes the code across files, runs the tests, reviews its own diff and opens the pull request, while you watch and steer.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Free has the agent with the free models, your own API keys and local models, with no limits from us. Plus at $8 a month, Pro at $30 a month, Super at $100 a month and Ultra at $200 a month add the paid models.
- How do the limits work?
- Every paid plan has two limits, as Claude does: a session limit over 5 hours, which can use up to a quarter of the week, and a weekly limit that resets every Thursday at 00:00 UTC. Both are shown with the percent used and when they reset. Pro has four times Plus’s limits, Super 15 times and Ultra 25 times.
- What counts against my limits?
- Requests to the included models: GLM, Kimi, MiniMax, DeepSeek, Qwen, Grok and Auto. Claude, GPT and Gemini are paid from credits instead. The free models, your own API keys and local models never count, and they keep working when a limit is reached.
- What happens when I reach a limit?
- Requests to the included models stop until the limit resets, and the agent tells you when that is. You can carry on with the free models or your own keys, turn on Extra Usage on the Billing page to continue from your balance, or move to a bigger plan.
- Which editors does it work in?
- The terminal through the MegaBrain CLI, VS Code (and Cursor and Windsurf) through the extension, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm and the other JetBrains IDEs through the plugin, and the Mac app.
- Which models can I use?
- Every paid plan includes GLM, Kimi, MiniMax, DeepSeek, Qwen, Grok and Auto, paid from its limits. Claude, GPT and Gemini from Pro up, paid from your credits. The free models, any model through your own API key, and local models such as those served by Ollama or LM Studio work on every plan.
- How do I pay and cancel?
- The paid plans are monthly subscriptions paid by card through Dodo Payments, our payment partner and Merchant of Record; taxes are added at checkout where they apply. Change plans on the Billing page: an upgrade bills the difference for the rest of the month, a downgrade credits it on your next bill. Cancel there too, and the plan runs until the end of the month you paid for.
- Is my code used to train AI models?
- No. MegaBrain does not train AI models on your code, sell it, or use it for marketing. Requests go to the model you choose, under that provider’s terms. The one exception is a preview model offered for a partner’s evaluation: its requests are stored whole for that evaluation, and are deleted on request.
