Connect Gmail

With Gmail connected, your agent can scan new mail, label by priority, archive noise, and prepare drafts — without ever sending on your behalf unless you allow it.

1

Choose a connection method

The simplest path is forwarding: set up Gmail to forward incoming mail to your instance’s Inbound Email address. For full read/label access, connect Gmail via OAuth in the dashboard instead.

2

Authorize access

If using OAuth, pick your Google account and grant the requested Gmail scopes. Tokens are stored in the encrypted vault and refreshed automatically.

3

Set guardrails

Decide whether the agent may send or only draft. The recommended default is drafts only — the agent prepares replies and you press send.

4

Add an inbox-triage workflow

Schedule the Inbox triage workflow to scan new mail on an interval, label by priority, and surface anything that needs you to your channel.

Good to know

  • Forwarding needs no Gmail API setup — it works with any provider.
  • Keep the agent on drafts-only until you trust its replies.
